Hayes and Memro announce engagement

Alexis Marie Hayes and Jacob Walton Memro, both of Half Moon Bay, have announced their engagement.

Alexis is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth G. Hayes, of Menlo Park.

She is a 1995 graduate of Acton-Boxborough Regional High School in Acton, Mass., and a 1998 graduate of the University of Massachusetts, where she received a bachelor's degree in hotel, restaurant and travel.

Alexis is employed as a surgical applications specialist at Hologic Inc. in Marlborough, Mass.

Jacob is the son of Elizabeth W. Strekal and Donald E. Memro, both of Carson City. He is a 1994 graduate of Carson High School and served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Jacob is an assistant golf pro at the Lake Merced Country Club in Daly City.

Alexis and Jacob plan to marry in September at St. Denis Catholic Church in Menlo Park with the Rev. Vincent D. Ring to officiate.
