Police find missing San Bruno man
50-year-old spends weekend at S.F. hospital before found
A 50-year-old at-risk San Bruno man who was reported missing Thursday was located at a San Francisco hospital Monday, three days after he apparently checked in, San Bruno police Detective Kurt Likins said.Bobby Lamascus, who goes by the nickname Bobby-Joe, was reported missing after he wandered off from a group in San Francisco. Police said Lamascus was at risk because he has mental retardation, schizophrenia, seizure disorders and requires medication.
Likins said Lamascus was taken to St. Francis Memorial Hospital at about 2 p.m. Friday after he suffered a seizure at a fast-food restaurant.
At about 8:30 a.m. Monday, an employee of the hospital notified San Bruno police of Lamascus' whereabouts after seeing media reports that he was missing.
Likins said he "doesn't appear to be the victim of any type of violence," but that he is experiencing some difficulties because he had been without his medications.
At about 11 a.m., Lamascus remained at the hospital on a medical ventilator and his family was on the way to pick him up, Likins said.
