NTSB: Cargo carrier had received threat
SAN FRANCISCO - Federal investigators say the cargo carrier whose plane was burned in an unexplained fire last week had received a threat a few days before. The National Transportation Safety Board disclosed the information Thursday. But the board did not say whether there was a link between the threat and the fire that substantially damaged the Boeing 767 flown by cargo company ABX Air on Saturday. No one was injured in the fire at San Francisco International Airport.
The NTSB did not say what it thought the cause of the fire was. Several federal agencies, including the FBI, are investigating.
The fire burned a large hole through the upper fuselage of the plane, just behind the cockpit.
